Title: Jodi Borello is the only independent choice for Senate District 46.

Summary:

Voters need to see, see on the go, and read that Jodi Borello is the independent choice for Senate District 46. While Camera Bartolotta has sold out our community to data center developers, utility companies, and big corporations, raising our bills and disrupting our rural communities’ way of life, Borello has been fighting for the people in this community for decades.

The number one priority should be for voters to see this message on broadcast television.

Bartolotta took thousands of dollars from data center developers and utility companies. Then, she voted against utility protections for people in need, voted against protecting ratepayers from predatory practices by utility companies, and co-sponsored a bill that would fast-track data center construction across Pennsylvania. Bartolotta wants to let those same companies that gave her campaign cash build data centers in your backyard and raise your utility rates without oversight.

Bartolotta is unwilling to stand up to the corporate interests that have her in their pockets. While she might have been willing to fight for our values in the past, she changed after getting to Harrisburg and has sold us out.

Bartolotta even said that she wants to give data centers “a fast track” and that “anyone who wants to build a data center in Pennsylvania can do so.” Bartolotta repeatedly co-sponsored and then voted for Pennsylvania’s Data Center Tax Exemption that’s subsidizing the same data center and utility companies that gave her campaign contributions with hundreds of millions of your tax dollars.

Jodi Borello is a lifelong Republican who voted for Trump three times. She is a small business owner, the wife of a state trooper, and was raised on a farm in rural Washington County. Jodi will stand up to both parties siding with powerful corporations instead of the people of this district – and always fight for southwestern PA. Jodi Borello will fight for a statewide data center moratorium, take on the corporations trying to sell us out, and fund our first responders with the resources they need.

Core Goals:

  1. Voters immediately need to see the difference between Bartolotta and Borello. Voters also need to see that Bartolotta has sold our community out. If resources allow, voters need to see how Borello will fight for them.

  2. In week 5 on, all Democratic voters and Democratic-leaning Independents, including those who have requested mail-in ballots and those who have voted infrequently, need to read and see on the go that Borello is the only candidate in this race who will stand up for them by raising the minimum wage, expanding health care, supporting public schools, and taxing big corporations. They also need to read in the mail the stakes of the election, and how to vote including information about returning their ballots, Election Day polling places, and open/close times.

  3. In week 5 on, high turnout, persuadable Republican and Independent voters need to read at least 4 times how Bartolotta has taken corporate cash and sold them out.
